Najib is an Associate at Messrs Suppiah & Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Universiti Utara Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019.

He commenced his legal career in Johor Bahru, where he trained and practised under the supervision of senior litigators. During this period, he was primarily involved in civil litigation, with a focus on debt recovery, contractual disputes, and estate matters.

From 2023 to 2025, Najib expanded his professional experience as a Non-Motor Insurance Adjuster with an independent insurance adjusting firm. In this role, he handled and negotiated a broad range of insurance claims, including Third Party Bodily Injury and Property Damage (TPPD), burglary, and Construction All Risk (CAR) claims. He was a member of the Association of Malaysian Loss Adjusters (1981) and obtained a Distinction in the Basic Certificate Course in Insurance Loss Adjusting (BCCILA).

Najib returned to legal practice in October 2025 and joined Messrs Suppiah & Partners. His current practice focuses on bodily injury claims and general litigation.

He is also actively involved in the firm’s technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity practice. In this capacity, Najib works closely with the firm’s partners on matters involving technology-related disputes, cybersecurity incidents, and advisory work touching on data protection, regulatory compliance, and risk management. He is building his practice and technical understanding in these areas as part of the firm’s broader AI and Tech offering.

Throughout his career, Najib has been involved in litigation matters for various public authorities, including contractual disputes, defamation actions, and public interest litigation. This includes involvement in a class action arising from a major pollution incident. In addition to court litigation, he has assisted the firm’s partners in adjudication proceedings
