MUHAMMAD FAREEZ IQWAN BIN MOHD FUAD

Fareez is an Associate at Messrs Suppiah & Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2025.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Fareez obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering and spent several years working in the construction industry. His experience in the industry provided him with practical exposure to construction projects, contractual relationships and the commercial considerations involved in project execution. This background has since complemented his legal practice, particularly in matters involving construction and contractual disputes.

Fareez subsequently pursued his legal education and began his legal career in litigation. His practice has involved a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, construction disputes, employment matters, debt recovery, tortious claims, defamation, landlord and tenancy disputes, judicial review and other general civil litigation. He has also been involved in criminal litigation and proceedings at various stages of the court process.

Drawing on his engineering and legal background, Fareez focuses on construction disputes and commercial litigation, bringing a strong understanding of both the technical and legal aspects of these matters. He demonstrates strong competence in arbitration and adjudication, particularly in resolving construction and commercial disputes.

Fareez approaches each matter by first understanding the factual and documentary background of the dispute before identifying the relevant legal and commercial issues. He seeks to provide practical and structured legal advice, with an emphasis on developing solutions that are responsive to the client’s circumstances and objectives.
